Spring clean up at St. John’s was a huge success this year. 16 volunteers helped clean tables, work on light fixtures and doors, weed and mulch, and clean the sanctuary. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to keep St. John’s beautiful!
This Sunday, May 18 at the 10:30 service, 15 children will celebrate their First Communion at St. John’s. Pastor Lyn and the children made the bread we will be using as the host.
The Sunday School children will be blessing us by singing the offertory.
Vicar Jonathan, shared youth ministry pastor, will be leaving us this week.
Fellowship hours will follow both services so we can wish Vicar Jonathan well and celebrate First Communion with the children.
Adult Sunday School – Pastor Lyn will be leading the adult discussion group for three weeks beginning April 27. His topic will be “The Marks of Lutheran Worship” discussing some of the rituals of our liturgical worship: baptism, communion, confession, passing the peace, singing, the sign of the cross, etc. The class meets in room 2 downstairs. Everyone is welcome to attend
one or all three sessions.
